Karla! I'm so glad you got the word that we're using the blog again! I didn't get the word out to anyone before we left, and I only mailed postcards after a week of being here, which means you guys will only get your postcards from Russia (that say "Check out the blog")when we're back in the States!
Yeah, I agree with you, what would those blogs say? I have heard some comments from Russians here, but of course, those comments are likely much kinder to me than they might be among themselves. I have definitely been treated well myself, even by strangers, even those who I've seen being rude to other Russians will treat me nicely (even people who don't stand to gain financially from me, like someone in a subway station, etc., not just at a souvenir stand or something). And yes, I'm so glad I got to come: first I was, then I wasn't going to be able to, and then I was again. It's been great!
